Mill Pond Choruses
For most students at the Mill Pond School, the 4th Grade Chorus is their very first experience singing in a chorus. Beginning in the 4th grade and continuing through the 6th grade, Mill Pond choristers will learn to do the following:
-follow their part in a choral octavo score
-sing with proper vocal technique
-read and perform dynamics (p mp mf f)
-expand their note reading and rhythm skills
-sing many different styles of music that are age appropriate and musically challenging
-follow a conductor through a performance and respond to the gestures for entrances, endings, dynamics, and musical phrasing
-demonstrate proper concert etiquette as a performer and as an audience member.
-perform the selected repertoire from memory
